Copyright (c) 2026 CrystalWorkshop. All rights reserved.
CrystalWorkshop (with its crystalw command-line tool), PulseDepot and Crux
("the Software") are freeware. By downloading or using the Software you
agree to these terms.
1. Use. You may download the Software free of charge and use it on any
number of your own computers.
2. Redistribution. You may not share, re-upload or mirror the Software's
packages anywhere other than the official download pages. Linking to an
official download page is allowed.
3. No modification. You may not modify, patch or alter the Software, or
distribute modified copies of it.
4. No reverse engineering. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or
disassemble the Software, except where the law expressly allows it
despite this restriction.
5. No sale. You may not sell the Software, charge for access to it, or
bundle it with anything that is sold.
6. Your content. Mods and other content you create with CrystalWorkshop
belong to you, subject to the game's own terms. These terms do not cover
the mods other people publish; each mod has its own licence.
7. Third-party components. The Software includes third-party components
under their own licences. Their notices are in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt
and the licenses folder of each package, and those licences apply to
those components instead of these terms.
8. No warranty. The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any
kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Back up your saves and game files before using it.
9. No liability. To the maximum extent the law allows, the author is not
liable for any damage or loss arising from the use of, or inability to
use, the Software.
10. Trademarks. FINAL FANTASY is a trademark of Square Enix. The Software
is an unofficial fan tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by
Square Enix.
The extension SDK for mod authors is not covered by these
terms: it is open source under the MIT or Apache-2.0 licence, at your
option.
