Requirements

  • FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, Steam version, on Windows or on Linux (Proton).
  • The Microsoft Store version is experimental and not tested yet.
  • PulseDepot (beta), the mod manager. It also installs Crux, which loads this mod in the game.
  • No separate settings mod is needed: this mod adds its own Mod Settings page.

Resize the field and battle HUD of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. You set the size separately for the field and for battle, from 25% to 200%. The default for both is 50%; 100% is the normal size.

  • Field HUD:
    • the Moogle Clock, kept at the bottom centre;
    • conversation and message windows, and the automatic conversation log;
    • cinema subtitles and area titles.
  • Battle HUD:
    • command, ability, target, item and paradigm lists;
    • the round command/ATB ornament;
    • party HP and ATB;
    • target information and the stagger gauge;
    • drive gauges and buttons;
    • damage numbers.
  • Feral Link prompt. The prompt stays above the HP panel. Its gauge keeps its normal size and position.
  • Cinematic actions. The button prompts and their captions are scaled in place. Button timing is unchanged.
  • Cursor, target markers and clipping all follow the same scale.
  • Normal size kept for:
    • menus;
    • the Historia Crux;
    • battle scenes and models;
    • the minimap.
  1. Download xiii2-ui-scale-0.1.0.cws.
  2. In PulseDepot, select FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. Choose Add mod… and add the file.
  3. Choose Apply changes.
  4. Start the game as usual.

Open Configuration → Mod Settings and use Left/Right:

Setting Range Default Effect
Field HUD Scale 25–200% in steps of 5 50% Size of the field HUD
Battle HUD Scale 25–200% in steps of 5 50% Size of the battle HUD
  • Changes apply immediately and are kept for your next launch.
  • On this page, the game’s Restore Defaults sets both values back to 50% and leaves the game’s own options alone.
  • Steam version: tested in game.
  • Microsoft Store version: experimental, not tested yet.
  • The two values are the same for every save slot and are kept by Crux. Your saves and the game’s own options are never changed.
  • If another mod already changes the HUD in the same places, this mod leaves them alone and stays inactive. The reason is written to the Crux log.
  • Works alongside Void Beyond — Historia Crux Entry.

In PulseDepot, choose Remove from library, then Apply changes.

The HUD returns to its normal size. Your saves are never changed by this mod.

  • Microsoft Store version not tested. If you try it, please report the result and attach the Crux log.
  • HUD parts the mod does not know keep their normal size.
  • Free to download and use for personal play.
  • Please do not re-upload this mod or share the file anywhere else. Share a link to the official mod page instead.
  • Do not modify, decompile for re-release, or sell this mod or any part of it without the author’s written permission.
  • Based on the UI Scale mod for FINAL FANTASY XIII.
  • Made with CrystalWorkshop.
  • Includes open-source components; see its third-party notices.
